Public information regarding grazing farm animals in public places via the Health & Safety Executive.

Be aware that grazing farm animals on the commons may present a risk to the public.
Please observe the following precautions -

1. Keep dogs on a leash whenever near grazing animals, unless animals chase the dog, then just let go of the dog. 
2. Keep young children under close parental control.
3. Do not come between cows and their calves.
4. Observe the presence of a bull (or bulls) and do not go between them and the cows.
5. Do not approach within 5m of grazing cattle.
6. Do not walk between closely assembled grazing animals.
