Playing Fields

The Playing fields consists of a play park which has both traditional and accessible play equipment for all ages and a hard standing tennis court which is set up during the summer.

The Field itself houses a full size football pitch and two small under 9 pitches used throughout the winter by our local teams. In the summer this becomes a cricket pitch used each week by local and visiting teams.  

In 2022 we refurbished the boules court which is now available for use. 

Our pavilion was opened in 1975 and is due for a replacement but in the meantime is available for our sports teams use.

There are big plans for the park for the future with a new Community Hub planned to replace the existing pavilion and a local skate group are looking for funding to build a small skate park on the field near the Anderson Lane entrance.

There is a two tier charge system, depending upon the hirer residing in the Ward and hence paying towards the precept that helps to maintain the park and pitches.
